A real unique blend of Funk, Hip-Hop,
Jazz, and Pop, with some amazing musicians.

Jonatha
Brooke; Steady Pull 1 track: “How
Deep is Your Love?”
I’ve been a fan of Jonatha’s
for a long time, what a thrill it was
to get to play on her record. It’s
a great album, and it also features
such musicians as Joe Sample and Marcus
Miller. Track 2: How

Brian
Auger's Oblivion Express –-
Live at the Baked Potato
A 2-disc set recorded live at
the famous LA jazz club “"The
Baked Potato"” in July
2005. Brian is a legendary Hammond
B-3 organ player, known around the
world as “"The Godfather
of Acid Jazz”". I've had
the privilege of playing in Brian's
band on and off since 2002, and it's
always funky, nasty, raw, and groovy.
Track 3: Freedom
Jazz Dance |

Melissa
Fahn; Avignon
A beautiful record by star of the
hit broadway musical "Wicked".
I played on 4 tracks along with my
good friend, drummer, percussionist,
composer, and producer Joel Alpers.
Track 1: Making
the Saint |
| |
|
|
|
|
Sabrina;
Angels Watching
A great album by Nashville-based singer/songwriter
Sabrina. Very Tracy Chapman-esque pop/rock.
I played on the majority of the tracks,
with Mike Porcaro handling bass duties
on the rest. Produced by my buddy Robin
DiMaggio.
Track 1: The
Box |
| |
|
|
| |
|
Jaffe;
Something to Fall Back On
Great pop/rock record by my ol’
college buddy, Sam Jaffe. The tunes
are great, and Vinnie Colaiuta played
drums on the record. What a pleasure
it was to play bass with THAT groove!
Track 8: Change
The Rules
|
|
 |
|
|
|
Kate
Higgins; Bigger Than Love
Kate is the lead vocalist in the band
Upper Structure, and an amazing singer/songwriter.
I got to do a few tracks with her
on this album, which could basically
be described as piano-driven pop.
Good Stuff.
Track 7: 21st
Century Lullaby |
|
 |
|
|
|
Nadine
Zahr; Underneath the Everyday
It's pretty much acoustic-flavored
pop-rock, with some really cool sonic
stuff goin' on. (vintage keys, fretless
basses, pedal steel, percussion,
etc.) Also featuring my bud Albe Bonacci
on drums and percussion.
Track 2: Beautiful
Soldier |
|
 |
|
| |
|
Gretchen
Lieberum; Brand New Morning 1 track:
“Home”
Great singer, the album has kind of
a sultry jazz/acid jazz vibe. Produced
by my good friend Greg Poree.
Track 11: Home

A Band Called Moses
Great intelligent pop/rock; I layed
down the bass on 4 tracks alongside
my good friend and frequent cohort,
drummer Albe Bonacci. Track

Paul
Goldberg; Whim of the Current
Contemporary straight-ahead jazz record.
I got to play my Rob Allen semi-acoustic

A live free-form jazz exploration

led by monster trumpeter Larry Williams.
Track 4: June

| |
|
|
| |
|
Kim
Erin; Flyaway
Pop/rock record produced by my friend
Michael Whittaker. I played my bass
tracks alongside great drummer Matt
Laug, who also played drums on Alanis
Morisette’s “Jagged Little
Pill”.
Track 1: Flyaway
|
|
 |
|
| |
|
Sun Engine
Some nice pop/rock by singer/songwriter
Kevin Batchelder. Produced by Ron Feuer.
Track 5: We

Joe Escriba and the Carnival All-Star
Orchestra; Funky as Charged
During summer breaks from college, I
went out and played on cruise ships.
On one particular ship, I was fortunate
enough to play with a great band, led
by saxophonist Joe Escriba. We had so
much fun playing together, that we decided
to record an album before we all went
our separate ways. It’s basically
a big-band album, with a repertoire
centered on funk. |

Meatloaf:
To Hell and Back (VH-1 original movie)
A goofy thing I did a few years ago.
I was cast to be the bass player in
Meatloaf’s band circa 1980’s.
Ahh, the things we do for money!!!
